The Eco Smart Business Programme includes information and tips on what businesses can do to set up waste minimisation systems as well as looking at creating wider reductions in their practices. There is an auditing tool for benchmarking businesses against how they were doing at the start of the programme. A second audit towards to end of the programme measures progress and improvements made. Environmental certification and 5 half day workshops are also included.
The 2013 programme will offer 60 places to Auckland businesses and starts in February. It is delivered by the Employers and Manufactures Association (EMA) and is cofunded by Auckland Council and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA).
